The Cure to share 24 unreleased tracks on 30th anniversary reissue of ‘Wish’

The Cure are readying a 30th anniversary reissue of their beloved 1992 album, Wish.

It’ll be a deluxe edition of the record, featuring a whopping 24 previously unreleased tracks alongside four that were only available as part of a mail order-only tape called Lost Wishes. Remastered by Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, Wish will be available digitally or as a 3CD 45-track version, a 2xLP vinyl version, or a 1CD version. The vinyl is released on November 25th, while the other versions all come out on October 7th.

“There’s a side to the album which I had kind of forgotten, a very gentle, yearning thing which is quite beautiful,” Smith explains. “‘Trust’ is one of the best things we’ve ever done I think, it’s played with great feeling, and ‘To Wish Impossible Things’ is another gorgeous, melancholic piece… in fact it could well be my favourite song on the record.”

Preview the deluxe version of Wish with a rare track called “Uyea Sound” from the Lost Wishes tape.
