Tame Impala, Phoebe Bridgers, Thundercat, more cover ’70s classics for ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ so

The tracklist for the Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack is here, and it features some pretty big names.


Produced by Jack Antonoff, the OST is set to feature artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Thundercat, St. Vincent, Caroline Polachek, Brittany Howard, BROCKHAMPTON, Kali Uchis, Tierra Whack, and Weyes Blood. All of these artists will cover some of the most popular funk, pop, and soul hits of the 1970s. Minions: The Rise of Gru takes place in the ’70s, so it’s only natural for it to be packed with some huge covers.


That track is out on May 20th, and the full Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack is out on July 1st.
