Phoebe Bridgers has appeared on a new duet with Taylor Swift, “Nothing New.”
Today, Swift released the Taylor’s Version of her 2012 album, Red. It features newly-recorded versions of the 20 tracks from the original deluxe edition of Red. It also features her charity single “Ronan” and nine songs “from the vault.” Six of those tracks were previously unreleased, one of those being “Nothing New.”
Swift co-produced the track with The National’s Aaron Dessner. “Nothing New” feels like the perfect balance between Swift’s folklore and evermore and Bridgers’ Punisher. “I was 18 when red came out,” Bridgers wrote on Twitter. “How is this real.”

“It’s just been a dream,” Bridgers told Billboard of the collaboration. “I just am so excited to have people take it at face value the day that it comes out, because I got teary recording it. I just couldn’t be more excited.”
In addition to collaborating with Bridgers on “Nothing New,” she also collaborated with Chris Stapleton and Ed Sheeran.
Swift has been re-recording her first six albums. She had originally released them on Big Machine Records, and now she’s re-recording them to gain rights to master recordings of her catalog.
