FKA twigs took part in NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series, where she played a new track, “killer,” live for the first time.
Taking to a church as her backdrop, twigs delivered a three-song set alongside a violinist, a cellist, and a pianist. It was a pretty grand performance, that saw FKA twigs playing two MAGDALENE tracks, “home with you” and “cellophane,” in addition to “killer.”
The track serves as twigs’ first new music since the release of her mixtape, CAPRISONGS in January, and her Yung Lean collab, “Bliss,” in April. This new tune feels far more reminiscent of MAGDALENE than that of the upbeat, dance-worthy CAPRISONGS.

FKA twigs’ appearance on NPR Tiny Desk (Home) marked the fourth in NPR Music’s Black Music Month concert series. The series showcases Black artists via 11 Tiny Desk (Home) Concerts during June. Thus far, FKA twigs, Adekunle Gold, James Francies, and Naira Marley have appeared in the series. Later on, NPR Tiny Desk (Home) will feature appearances from Usher, Monica, Denzel Curry, Ravyn Lenae, Larry June, Maverick City Music, and J’Nai Bridges.
